On 30 August 2022, Chantal and I signed away ownership of Casa Luna at Mirador San Jose. Finally, we are free to enjoy the retirement we dreamed of.
This is the actual dream, right? To live on some South Pacific shore and drink fruity punch with little umbrellas in it?
Of course, our move into Condominio Miramar went off the rails. There was not a chance we would escape this experience unmarked by farce.
I heard somewhere that you should never buy immediately when you retire to Ecuador. Rent, move around, find the right spot, and settle in.
If you’re contemplating Ecuador, watch your step. That’s all I have left to say on this subject. Avoid the angry chicken.
