My annual review of our retirement experience in Ecuador, now four years in-country and still the adventure of our lives.
Chantal and I live in San Clemente now. This is our first Christmas among Ecuadorians. If last night is any indication, we’re in for a treat.
On 30 August 2022, Chantal and I signed away ownership of Casa Luna at Mirador San Jose. Finally, we are free to enjoy the retirement we dreamed of.
If you’re contemplating Ecuador, watch your step. That’s all I have left to say on this subject. Avoid the angry chicken.
I started my blog with wonder and delight. Now I tell anyone who asks that our retirement in Ecuador is a lot like gum disease.
Now we’re back, to fulfill the obligations of our residency visas, and Ecuador is not quite the place we left behind.
